Wildcard characters can be used on the Advanced Search page. They are
useful if you are not sure of the exact string to enter for searching.
Examples:
Using a wildcard or '*' will match any character,
or no character at all.
"jo*n" matches: "john", "joan", and "join",
"jon" or "jonathan".
Or you can use "jo*" or just "j*", but it may
result in "too many matches".
It works better when used with first name or last
name, e.g. "j* steven".
To match even more,
try "j* steve*" or "steve* j*".
